Our hospitality program providing food and basic needs is often the first entry point for families that come to us seeking community and support. We believe in the power of a meal - not just to nourish our bodies and energize us, but also as a way to gather socially, celebrate culture, and replenish the soul.
Some events of this program include hosting the diplomatic consulates, vaccine clinics in partnership with local healthcare providers, and our famous "Martes de Recursos" Resource Day.
Martes De Recursos
Resource Tuesdays at La Casita Center are the community events in which families come to the center to get food, diapers, COVID19 vaccines and other available resources. Our Resource Tuesdays happen on the second Tuesday of every month, from 10am to 2pm. For La Casita Center to be ready, we require extraordinary organizing and hands of volunteers to work before the event and during the event. Come hang out with us and have some fun while making these community events a success!
