Our Mission

La Casita Center enhances the well-being of Louisville's Latinx community through education, empowerment, advocacy, and wellness. La Casita Center works intentionally to build a thriving community based on mutual support and respect.

The vision of La Casita is to connect people through solidarity to be one community.

Our Values

La Casita Center exemplifies the following values:

Welcomes by accompanying people on their life journey;
Engages individuals and communities for understanding the needs and hopes of both to relate and respond to the challenges and opportunities found in both;
Equips and empowers people with resources, knowledge, skills, and support vital for full and active participation in the community; and

Summer Camp Staff

Each summer La Casita is excited to welcome our Summer Camp Counselors to the team. Our Camp Counselors bring their passion, expertise, and love to the students and families enrolled in our summer programming. Our Counselors bilingually lead culturally competent activities including craft projects, games, science lessons, nature lessons, and community building. With this team’s support La Casita is able to further its mission of empowerment and community care alongside our youth.
